Smoked tuna is a popular meal for IDF soldiers in the field. It’s easy to prepare with items on hand, and elevates rations to new levels of, er, not quite deliciousness. Basically, you open a can of tuna, lay some toilet paper on top, and light it on fire. When the fire dies down, the smoke emitted smokes the tuna. In the spirit of support for Israel’s war on Hamas, I thought I’d share the recipe here, as copied from a Reddit post, found on the ‘net. Caveat: if you decide to give it a try, make sure you use tuna packed in oil.
Step 1: Open the can.
Step 2: Cover the top with ~4 sheets of toilet paper, with a small fold in the middle (this cooks the tuna evenly), and dip the paper in the oil.
Step 3: Light edges on fire, and make sure that the whole wad of toilet paper ignites.
Step 4: Wait until fire goes out (from burning up all the oil. if the fire goes out from the wind, start over from step 2).
Step 5: Pour sweet and sour sauce, teriyaki, ketchup or whatever other sauce you might have laying around.
Step 6: Eat, while imagining it tastes like chicken or something and enjoy!
