Sometimes, simple really is better. These cheddar cheese crisps are salty, crunchy, and satisfyingly addictive—and they’re made from just one ingredient: cheddar. No flour, no carbs, no mystery preservatives. Just 100% crispy, golden cheese. They’re the perfect after-school snack, soup topper, or low-carb munch.

Cheddar Cheese Crisps

Makes: about 16 crisps
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 7–10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (not pre-shredded if you can help it—freshly grated melts better)

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spoon heaping teaspoons of shredded cheddar onto the sheet, spaced at least 2 inches apart. Gently pat each mound down.
  3. Bake for 7–10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and deep golden around the edges.
  4. Let the crisps cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes—they’ll firm up as they cool.
  5. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (but good luck making them last that long).
