Sometimes, simple really is better. These cheddar cheese crisps are salty, crunchy, and satisfyingly addictive—and they’re made from just one ingredient: cheddar. No flour, no carbs, no mystery preservatives. Just 100% crispy, golden cheese. They’re the perfect after-school snack, soup topper, or low-carb munch.
Cheddar Cheese Crisps
Makes: about 16 crisps
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 7–10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (not pre-shredded if you can help it—freshly grated melts better)
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spoon heaping teaspoons of shredded cheddar onto the sheet, spaced at least 2 inches apart. Gently pat each mound down.
- Bake for 7–10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and deep golden around the edges.
- Let the crisps cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes—they’ll firm up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (but good luck making them last that long).
