Easy Barbecued Chicken

Everyone has their favorite recipe for barbecued chicken. This recipe is not only easy to make, but strikes just the right balance between spicy, salty, sour, and sweet. We can’t get enough of it. Just the smell of it drives one to a powerful hunger, so make a lot!

Easy Barbecued Chicken

Yields: 6-8 servings


  • 1 cup Heinz Classic Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2.5-3 pounds chicken, cut into pieces
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste


  1. Mix first three ingredients with a fork. Set aside.
  2. Sprinkle chicken with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  3. Broil chicken slowly, skin down, until almost brown.
  4. Brush chicken with sauce. Broil 1 minute. Repeat.
  5. Turn chicken. Broil slowly, skin side up, until almost brown.
  6. Brush chicken with sauce. Broil 1 minute. Repeat.
  7. Serve hot.
